What is a Vision?
VISION is a clear picture of a desired future.
VISION describes what our church will look like.
VISION develops positive mental images.

The Vision of North Gate Christian Church
A church full of love, grace and freedom that sees many workers raised up to influence their world for Jesus Christ.

What is a Mission?
MISSION defines the overall strategy and how you will accomplish your vision.

The Mission of North Gate Christian Church
To allow God to speak to us, so that He can speak through us.
To allow God to work in us, so that He can work through us.
To allow God to lead us, so that we can lead others.

We can refer to our values as the DNA of our church.
The scientific term DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) refers to the molecules that contain genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of living organisms (eg you and me!). DNA is made of strands that are tightly knitted together and are also self-replicating. Every living organism has DNA and every church also has its own spiritual DNA. Our spiritual DNA forms the building blocks that make North Gate Christian Church what it is today.

What are these building blocks? We are:

- An Honouring Church
- A Praying Church
- A Good News Church
- A Relational Church
- A Purposeful Church
- A Creative Outreaching Church
- A City-Influencing Church
- A Developing Church
- A Balanced Church

We believe that this DNA forms the church that God has revealed to us and this is the kind of church that we want to be a part of.

How do we transfer this DNA to you? The following 3 points transfers our DNA.

1. D - Define who we are.
To define means to determine with precision and accuracy. To be certain, exact, sure and clear.

2. N - Nurture Relationships.
Nurture means to nourish with food, to train up, and to educate. One of the ways we achieve this is through our midweek Connect groups. North Gate believes that the church is about people. People are not a product, but a priority. North Gate believes that the church is about seeing your potential realised and your purpose fulfilled.

3. A - Affirm our Values.
Affirm means to stand by one’s own statement, to declare and confirm what one believes.
How do we affirm our values? By being the values.
